How did the ACYD have an impact on where you are today?

ACYD played an important role in my career trajectory. It deepened my understanding of Australia-China relations and developed my professional skills in ways that helped me to build a career focused on China at consulting firms, think tanks, and universities. The experience not only broadened my perspective but also enhanced my ability to contribute meaningfully to discussions on China-related issues, kickstarting my professional journey to deliver world-class research on Chinese politics and foreign policy that improves decision-making in politics, government, and business. And the connections that I made through the ACYD continue to enrich both my professional and personal lives.

why do you think people should apply today?

People should apply to ACYD because it offers a unique platform to deepen your understanding of Australia-China relations and build meaningful connections with future leaders from both countries. The dialogue helps participants to comprehend the overlaps and divergences in how Australia and China see the world and therefore what the opportunities and challenges are for the bilateral relationship in the years ahead. More dialogue leads to more understanding, which leads to better personal and professional outcomes, no matter what your views are about Australia-China relations.
