The Australia-China Youth Dialogue is the preeminent multidisciplinary early career leaders’ dialogue between Australia and Greater China with an alumni community of more than 360 members.
ACYD alumni are emerging leaders across a wide range of professions – policymakers, analysts, senior managers, creatives, academics and entrepreneurs. With their experience and expertise, they are making outstanding contributions to strengthening bilateral communication, connections, and collaboration between Australia and China. They lead the future of Australia-China relations.
Meet the delegates of the 12th Dialogue 2022 heading to Perth
The delegates of the 12th Dialogue include:

For the first time, the ACYD is coming to Perth from Friday, November 18 to Monday November 21, 2022.
This is the 12th dialogue of the ACYD and is being held in the special anniversary year marking 50 years of official diplomatic ties between Australia and China.
The 12th ACYD, will explore the overarching theme of Managing Ambiguity, a timely topic in light of current global post-pandemic complexities. This year the Dialogue will include panel discussions, fireside chats, site visits, and interactive workshops.
The 12th ACYD will focus on global, regional, and local thematics pertinent to the Australia-China space, including regional security and prosperity, mining and resources, people, community and the arts, and public diplomacy in practice.
The 12th ACYD is bringing together Chinese and Australian experts and delegates from the Perth region, along with those from other parts of Australia and Greater China, to deepen cross-cultural communication, strengthen bilateral understanding, and drive positive action in the Australia-China relationship.
What is the ACYD?
Since 2010 the ACYD has brought together 30 outstanding Australian and Chinese citizens between the ages of 25-40 years to participate in a track-II diplomatic dialogue hosted in either Australia or China. The ACYD aims to strengthen existing ties and build cooperation in areas of shared interest and mutual benefit. The ACYD supports and deepens understanding of Australia and China; the value of the bilateral relationship and the extensive people-to-people links that exist between the two countries, as well as the rich contribution of Chinese Australians to Australia’s story and the contribution of Australians to China’s story.
